First of all, LOL at the goon spin doctors, but the sudden spike in goon activity in this thread is kind of an obvious sign of spin.
Also, what happened to making wars "hardcore", and making them relevant again? Seems to me it was working:
either attacker bit off more than it could chew, or defender got obliterated, but in either case a surrender would happen.
So it doesn't work so well in extreme cases such as for the goons (who can sustain wars indefinitely, and will always have people willing to shoot them), and CCP's solution is to pretty much remove any commitment from the aggressor. It's only natural the the big (usually just fat) kid pushes the little guy around, but now they're locked in the same room, and the big kid's gonna get the key. *flashback* (if i understood the changes right)
Seems to me like the griefer's version of incursions, with more station camping coming soon
The reason eve is fun, is because there's usually a way to do what you want (grief, pvp, pve, troll local, etc), if you know what you're doing. There tend to be ways of beating the odds, and CCP over-nerfed a feature that was mostly ok, and broke it completely instead of tweaking it.

Also if anyone wants to perma deckt he goons just do a show info on "Goonswarm Federation" once every two weeks or so and join whatever wars they are in. That said, unlike what you seem to be implying we have no problem with people who want to shoot us. Does anyone know if CCP checked out some alternative wardec cost calculations? Mainly to make sure 100 man corps don't wardec 2man corps. I think they mentionned they were worried about the opposite (1 man corps deccing 100 man corps) |

well you can claim it was our whining that caused this but ccp confirmed that this was identified as a serious issue before jade begain exploiting the mechanic we don't care, we like shooting people in highsec, but jade claims there is some secret reason why goonswarm leadership was actually terrified of his plan yet can't really explain to anyone why on earth that would be as a member of goonswarm leadership i wish to know what i am scared of. help me!
It's interesting, because you guys didn't wardec the "bigger" highsec alliances, or those most likely to actually fight you... Most people you've "decced" in highsec are probably allies of defendors (but don't quote me)

If, what you say is true then it would mean there really is a limit to player driven content - it would be not what you know, but who you know in CCP. I seriously hope Goons do not have a hotline to the CCP WHAAAAAAmbulance. At this point I'm unsure whether to be sad or just grab my tinfoil hat. 
i doubt they have much direct efffect on ccp's decisions (from former goons now devs, as some ppl said)
but they do have a lot of presence on forums (goons&friends), and access to csm |

except ccp has repeatedly confirmed that not only did goonswarm not complain but this change started getting worked on even before jade started trying to pull this exploit soz mate you've gotten 0wned by the facts better luck next time
if you bothered to read the quote, it explains that ccp's perception of the problem (that attackers are too vulnerable to defenders with the current ally system) is crooked, when in fact it promotes a tough fight for the attacker (you claim to want gudfites).
it's all to avoid risk, which you, as self-hating closet carebears want to do...
